Saturday, July 21 Race begins at 2:00 pm

Registration at 1:15 pm
Race begins at 2:00 pm
Awards at 2:45 pm

Age categories:  5-8, 9-13, Adult Division

The Soapbox Race was instituted in 2012 by the Joint Recreation Commission in Sackets Harbor.  Its purpose was to create a family activity in which parents and kids could spend quality time building something together.
There is no cost to enter the event and there are two classes:  Classic and Open.  The Classic car comes from the specs sheet provided by the Can-Am Committee.  The Open Class is for custom cars built of an array of materials.  In each category there are age groups.

Registration begins at Noon at the corner of Ambrose St. and West Main St.  Racing will begin at 2:00 pm, the same day, with awards presented after the race.  The awards are provided by the Can-Am Committee.  If you have any questions, please contact Race Chairman at 315-804-3161 or email the Can-Am Committee at canamfestival@yahoo.com.  Photos from previous races can be found in the photo gallery.
